First and foremost, thank you for your patience, flexibility, optimism and support. In this ever-changing environment, we appreciate the fact that our Fenwick Family is so accepting of the fact that this event has never been attempted before and will most certainly not be perfect. It was created for our students and families with joy and excitement that we are able to offer you something in this time that has taken away so much. Cap and Gown Pick-Up

Class of 2020

Cap and Gown Pick-up Days

May 11, 13,14 and 15 (No Tuesday appointments)

We are looking forward to having you on campus next week to get your belongings from your locker, to take a picture or two, and to receive your cap and gown!

Please begin by picking a 30-minute time slot to come to campus https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11614659&event=348776.

This link will be available through Sunday night. We are using this system to stagger and separate the appointments in order to maintain proper social distance and to protect your health and safety.

Current guidelines prohibit gatherings of more than 10 people. This means that there cannot be more than 10 persons outside of their cars at one time. The Fenwick staff responsible for this event are included in that number, therefore only the graduate may exit the car. All persons are required to wear masks in public and to practice social distancing at all times.

Please keep in mind that this can ONLY happen if all students actively abide by the Governor’s current guidelines for the Commonwealth. Our compliance with these guidelines is what has gained us the approval to hold our Commencement celebration on May 22.

Non-Negotiable Policies

Each car will be driven by the senior or the senior’s family member
Each car will have only one student unless there are two seniors living in the household
Each student may bring one family member; this is completely optional
No friends or guests are permitted
Each student must have a mask on for the entire visit
There is no sharing or distributing of any food or beverage
Please make sure you are on time
If you arrive early you will not be permitted to exit your car until your scheduled time
If you are late, you will only have the remainder of your time slot

Students will arrive at the back entrance of the new space and park in the back parking lot
A staff person will tell you when you may exit your car and enter the building
You will enter the building and be greeted by Mrs. Feldman. She will check you in:
You will receive your cap, gown and tassel
You may drop off any pictures that you wish to be delivered to faculty or staff
You will be given a checklist with directions for your visit
After being checked in, you will clean out your locker
Please note that all locks will have already been removed
Please remember to bring something to carry your belongings if needed
You will also clean out your athletics locker if needed
If you have a lock on your locker, please make sure you have your key or combination
If you do not have the key or combination, we will cut the lock for you
After you have cleaned out your locker/s, you can choose to take pictures
If you are Spring athlete, you may go to the stadium under the scoreboard
Jerseys will be provided for those athletes who wish to use them for the picture; these jerseys must be returned immediately after the photo
In case of rain, we will use the gym
If you wish to take pictures in your cap and gown, you may do so at the front pavilion, or on the stadium
A member of your household may take your pictures for you but may not exit the car otherwise nor enter the building
You must walk back to your car before your thirty-minute slot is over.
Please remember that the next person cannot enter until your car is gone

Summary:

Arrive 5 minutes before your 30-minute slot
Park in the back parking lot
Remain in your car until advised by a faculty/staff member to enter the school
Check-in with Mrs. Feldman in the new lobby and get your cap and gown
Empty locker/s and take all belongings with you
Take sports or cap-and-gown photos if you wish
Leave campus before your 30-minute slot is over

Drive-Thru Celebration

Friday May 8, 2020

2:00 pm

To celebrate the completion of your academic work at Fenwick we invite you to participate in a drive-thru celebration! Please keep in mind that this can ONLY happen if all students and family members actively abide by the Governor’s current orders for the Commonwealth. Our compliance with these guidelines for this event will reinforce our ability to host a similar, larger event for you on May 22.

Car Policies (please note that these restrictions will be the same for May 22):

·Each student may have only one car; again, this event is one car per student

·Each car may have only one student unless there is more than one student residing in your household

·A parent/s or other household member/s may also be in the car but no one outside of the household/family can be in the car.

·No friends or guests outside of the student’s family may attend

·The driver and each passenger must wear a seat belt; no passengers can be in the car beyond the number of seatbelts provided in the car

·No one may exit the car at any time; this includes lining up in the parking lot beforehand

·Everyone in the car must have a mask

·Please remember that we are located in a residential neighborhood and must be respectful of our neighbors

·There is no parking on Margin Street

Details:

·Students will meet at 1:45 at Sunnyside Bowl parking lot

·Peabody Police Officer Ricci will lead the parade from Sunnyside to Fenwick

·At 2:00 pm the cars will be led out of the Sunnyside lot

·Parade will enter the school grounds at the lower entrance (Danvers side)

·Students will drive very slowly through the back parking lot

·Feel free to cheer, beep, wave, etc. through the parking lot – there will be faculty and staff there to congratulate you!

·Students will exit the parking lot by using the upper entrance (Salem side) following Officer Ricci so that you can make a second lap

·There will be staff there taking pictures and recording the event for you

·Check out the Snapchat filter while you are there!
