One day, Felicia Wilczenski, the dean of the College of Education at UMass Boston, was driving by the National Park Service office building on Clifton Street in Salem. In the window, large photographs of faces from the area’s past were displayed. Wilczenski glanced at them briefly, then stopped the car. One of the pictures was of her own father.

Class of 2012 Last Day

Though they still have exams and senior service, today marked the last day that would find the Class of 2012 walking the halls of Bishop Fenwick on a regular school day.  

This morning, the school gathered together to recognize this fact.  Speeches and thank you’s required many tissues.

The Summer Institute, in it's seventh year, is offering courses most requested by students, parents and teachers! Our Foundation courses acclimate the student to our school, introduce them to the Fenwick academic "work ethic" and present them a variety of study skills and strategies.  Algebra II Prep is essential for the student taking Algebra II in the fall. The foundation skills presented in Algebra I  and basic math needed for success in Algebra II are reviewed to prepare them for success. To learn more and register, please click here.

Bishop Fenwick Art students win 38 awards

The Bishop Fenwick High School Fine Arts Department is proud to announce that two portfolios from the class of 2012 have received Gold Key Awards, the highest honor awarded in the annual Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards for their entire Art Portfolios in the state wide art competition. We are also proud that 36 other individual works of art were selected to receive awards. Making this Bishop Fenwick’s best showing ever in the over thirty years Fenwick has entered the statewide competition.
