OUTREACH

The Office of Campus Ministry provides many outreach opportunities throughout the school year. In the school year of 2015-2016, students succeeded in over 5,000 hours of service. The Campus Ministry office constantly sets up new service opportunities with local non-profit organizations. Click below to see the many ways our students and faculty serve our greater community!

Breast Cancer Walk

Many members of the school community travel into Boston to participate in the six-mile walk around the Charles River. The event helps raise money and awareness to fight Breast Cancer.

Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Store

Students serve at the Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop which relies on donations from the community to build an inventory of high-quality, used clothing and household items that are sold at bargain prices. Helping those struggling financially or living on the poverty line.

Canned Food Drive

Keeping with the Fenwick tradition, all donations are sent to The Warwick House food pantry in Roxbury. Students are asked to bring in canned foods, cereal, pasta, peanut butter & jelly, baby food (no glass jars) etc, anything that is non perishable. Each homeroom participates in a challenge to see who can collect the most goods during the six day drive.

Christmas Clothing Drive

Gifts are collected and dropped off in the chapel foyer and donated to needy families with children ages 12 to 18 years old. This project supports the works of Catholic Charities.

Friday Night Happenings at the Northeast ARC

Students assist at the "Friday Night Happenings" program at the Northeast ARC. In collaboration with Fenwick's Best Buddies program, students are able to engage in fun and social activities with members of the ARC community.

Relay for Life

In June of each year, we join the Peabody community and the American Cancer Society in fundraising to raise awareness and lend support to those those affected by Cancer. The event is held at Peabody High School.

Catholic Schools Week Observance

Each year we celebrate Catholic Schools week with various activities such as a school wide retreat, a dress down day to benefit a worthy cause, a student essay contest and concludes with a school wide Liturgy.

My Brother's Table

Students serve monthly at My Brother's Table soup kitchen in Lynn. Not only do they serve meals, but students have conversations with guests who have come for a meal.

Operation Shoe Box

Members of our community take this opportunity to bring a little Christmas to children in countries affected by poverty by filling a shoe box with small items such as toys and cosmetics.

St. Mary's of the Annunciation Tutoring Program

Students tutor a handful of 7th and 8th graders from St. Mary's of the Annunciation School. Not only do students help tutor a variety of subjects, they are great mentors for the middle school students.

St. Francis Clothing Drive

Our annual drive supports the work of St. Francis House in Boston. We will be looking for donations of men's clothing in good condition. New socks, hats and gloves are also appreciated.

Sunrise Assisted Living Visits

Throughout the academic year, student groups visit the residents at Sunrise Assisted Living to celebrate friendship and fellowship.
